Every August within the framework of the Flower Fair, the now iconic Antique Car Parade (Desfile de Carros Antiguos) is held in Medellín, an event that already has more than 20 years of tradition and that brings together thousands of people in the streets of the capital of Antioquia.

The tour covers several main streets and avenues of Medellín, transforming them into a rolling open-air museum.

The cars represent a varied catalog of makes and models, including everything from elegant luxury cars to robust utility vehicles.

Each car tells a story, reflecting the design and technology of its time. To complete the historical immersion, drivers dress in elegant costumes from the era in which each car was manufactured.

Although the vast majority of cars on parade date from the beginning of the 20th century to the middle of the 20th century, the Antique Car Parade has included examples as old as the De Dion-Bouton Vis a Vis Model, which in 1899 became the first automobile. to roll through the streets of Medellín and made its spectacular reappearance in the 2017 parade.

In addition to the aesthetic and cultural value, the Antique Car Parade (Desfile de Carros Antiguos) has an educational component, since it allows new generations to learn about and appreciate the development of the automotive industry and its impact on society.

This event not only stands out for its beauty and organization, but also for its ability to unite the community around admiration for the historical and cultural legacy of automobiles.
